First Look | Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock in ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’

Dwayne Johnson has posted the first image of himself in costume as Roadblock on the set of ‘G.I.Joe: Retaliation’ on his twitter. The Rock has been posting lots of photos from the set doing weapons training, but this is the first photo of himself in costume. He’s pumping out pictures from the setbefore Paramount can even approve them.
Dwayne Johnson brings his own brand of unique charisma to every film (see ‘Fast 5’) and the news that he was cast to play Roadblock has made ‘G.I.Joe: Retalition’ a much more exciting possiblity. From looking at all the photos from The Rock’s twitter feed, it looks like G.I.Joe 2 will be a much more realistic and grounded movie with actual real world guns (a M60 machine gun The Rock’s weapon of choice) and no dumb armor suits.
G.I.JOE: Retaltiation currently stars Dwayne Johnson, Ray Stevenson, RZA, Adrianne Palicki Walton Goggins, Channing Tatum, Ray Park, Byung Hun-lee and possibly Bruce Willis as General Joe Colton. The film is scheduled to open June 29th, 2012.
Retaliation is planned for release on June 29, 2012.

Please, please, PUHLLLEEEAAAAZZZZEEEE don’t make this film campy. I’ve been waiting since a child to see a G.I. Joe movie and the last flick was like watching The Fantastic Four.
I screamed at both experiences.
