Chris Hemsworth may very well have confirmed that Captain America will, in fact, be leading the Avengers. Comic Book Movie points out a nearly inaudible exchange in this video. The interview asks, “Evans was the leader and you guys follow him?” and Hemsworth replies: “He’s the boss, yeah. Yeah.” Now, it may just be that Evans is the ringleader among the cast, but it seems more likely that he’s actually the team’s leader. -Hense the Captain bit-
Separately, Loki actor Tom Hiddleston told Access Hollywood that the recent Cleveland filming has been about “Manhattan being destroyed by Loki’s army. I’m not allowed to be specific about how that army is made up, but that’s the battle for Manhattan.… Yeah, that’s me. I’m blowing up the city and the Avengers are trying to stop me.”
